How to live with the work.
Wear it.
That's the first rule. Pieces stiffen and dull in boxes. The hand warms the metal, settles the stones, polishes the work just by living in it. Wear it.
Take it off for these things.
Showering. Swimming. Sleeping. Gardening. The gym. Chlorine is the enemy of fine metal. Soap dulls the polish. Sweat tarnishes anything silver. Heavy bags on rings will bend them. Earrings come off before the pillow.
Clean it like this.
Warm water, a drop of dish soap, a soft baby toothbrush. Once a month. Pat dry with a soft cloth. That's it. No ultrasonic cleaners on porous stones — opal, pearl, turquoise, emerald. When in doubt, write to the atelier and ask.
The atelier looks after every piece.
For the life of the piece. Resizing, retipping, polishing, re-rhodium, full restoration. The first service in the first year is on us. After that, we charge what the work costs and nothing more.
