The Maker
Shannon.
Made by hand. Made by mine.
The first piece I made was a diamond drop pendant. It was meant for a tennis necklace I already owned — and the chain I wanted didn't exist. So I made it. Then I made the next one. Then I stopped looking for what was already there.
That's the whole story. It's also the only one.
I make jewelry the way I want to wear it. Loud. Certain. From stones I've sat with for months. From metal that got its weight in my hand before it got its shape. Every piece is one of one because every piece comes from a specific stone, found at a specific moment, that wanted to be a specific thing. The work is slow. The work is mine. The work is for the woman who's done playing small.
I started this house because I had to. Because the things I wanted didn't exist in the world. Because every time I asked for a delicate chain or a specific cut or a setting that didn't apologize for itself, I was told there was nothing like that available. There is now.
Welcome to the house.
